Hi all! Quick update instead of a video on my personal channel today since I feel crummy and still have a lot of writing to get caught up on. So, first up! Something fun! I officially have new covers for my Four of a Kind series. I worked with Yoly from Cormar Covers and couldn’t be happier. I already have covers for book two and three lines up as well, and will absolutely be working with her again to round out the series with the fourth book by the end of the year. The new version comes out August 7th, which does mean I’m leaning away from my publishing plan for this series by a little. Originally I’d wanted to publish one every quarter this year, but starting with rereleases of Four of a Kind and then Two’s Company, there will be one book coming out in this series every month between August and November! Yay!
Without further ado…
Wait?! Kellie Bean? Who’s that. Well, that’s me! Which brings me part two of this post. I’ve decided to change up my pen name game plan moving forward as well toward something that makes a little more sense since I’m not planning much YA after 2017 (although that could easily change) and didn’t want to give up using my main name. So from here all out all of my contemporary stuff will be under Kellie Bean, with all my sci-fi/fantasy coming from Kellie Sheridan, regardless of it is YA or adult.
Bean is my mom’s maiden name, and that also happens to be the side of my family that most encouraged my love of reading. Also, the name rhymes with Jelly Bean, so I’m kind of in love with it.
